WWE Night Of Champions 2015

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Sting

The Vigilante, Sting, is back, and he’s coming for Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Title.
For the first time in his legendary career, The Man Called Sting will challenge for WWE’s top prize, as he gets set to face The Architect Sunday, Sept. 20 at WWE Night of Champions, live on WWE Network.

Making his first appearance since WrestleMania — where he lost to Triple H after The Game struck him with a sledgehammer — The Icon not only dropped Rollins on Raw, but he also picked up the treasured WWE World Heavyweight Championship and stared down The Game, making his objective abundantly clear.
A six-time WCW World Champion, Sting has never before challenged for a title in WWE, let alone the WWE World Heavyweight Title, but he has been a recurring threat to The Authority. Starting with his WWE debut at last year’s Survivor Series — during which he helped oust Triple H & Stephanie from power, albeit briefly—and culminating with his ruining of Rollins’ celebration, Sting has repeatedly made his presence felt.
Will The Architect be able to survive The Vigilante’s onslaught at Night of Champions? Or can The Icon add another accolade — the biggest in all of sports-entertainment — to his incredible resume, transforming the state of WWE as we know it?
Watch this historic showdown when it airs live at Night of Champions Sunday, Sept. 20, only on the award-winning WWE Network

United States Champion Seth Rollins vs. John Cena

If Seth Rollins  wants to keep his two championships, he’ll have to win just as many bouts at Night of Champions. The Architect found out that not only will he be defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sting, but he’ll have to put his United States Title on the line against former Champion John Cena .

The bad blood between Rollins and Cena goes back to July 27, when the WWE World Heavyweight Champion answered John Cena’s United States Open Challenge. Though Rollins was unsuccessful in dethroning Cena, The Architect left a lasting mark on Cena when he shattered his nose with a brutal knee to the face.
That injury threw their huge Winner Take All Match at SummerSlam into doubt, but the Cenation leader was determined to not only make it to The Biggest Party of The Summer, but to walk out with the United States Title and his 16th World Championship, tying the record set by Ric Flair. Many were unsettled by the thought of Cena reaching that pinnacle, but only one was bold enough to act out: Jon Stewart, former host of “The Daily Show.” Stewart shocked the WWE Universe when he struck Cena with a steel chair at the apex of a thrilling bout, allowing Rollins to pin Cena and add the U.S. Title to his impressive resume.

After SummerSlam, Cena seemed to be in Rollins’ rear view mirror, as The Future of WWE turned his attention toward Sting, who ruined the unveiling of a statue crafted in Rollins'likennes on the night after his huge victory. One week later, The Architect demanded that The Vigilante return the statue, only to be met by John Cena, who announced he would be invoking his rematch clause for a United States Championship rematch at Night of Champions.
Cena and Sting stood united, staring down Rollins as Raw went off the air. Will they do the same on Sept. 20, this time with titles in their hands? Or will Seth Rollins prevent his world from crashing down around him? Find out at WWE Night of Champions, live Sunday, Sept. 20, only on the award-winning WWE Network!

Summer Slam 2015

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins def. United States Champion John Cena in a Winner Takes All Match

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Thanks to their SummerSlam showdown, there now exists a key difference between John Cena and Seth Rollins. Unlike the Cenation leader, Rollins no longer needs quotation marks to describe himself as the “real Champ.”
One hundred forty-seven days after they won their respective titles at WrestleMania 31, Seth Rollins defeated John Cena at SummerSlam in a Winner Takes All Match, thus securing the former’s WWE World Heavyweight Title reign and ending the latter’s tour as U.S. Champion. Rollins sealed Cena’s fate with a Pedigree on to a steel chair provided by former “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart, who shocked the WWE Universe by coming to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s rescue in the closing moments of the match.

For his part, Rollins’ motivation for a rematch with Cena included far more than revenge for their Raw showdown. The Davenport, Iowa, native publicly declared his hope of adding the U.S. Title to his trophy case, but privately has dealt with criticism of his championship pedigree as well as claims of his reign being regularly protected by The Authority.

Cena’s stature and strength set the tone in the bout’s early moments. While the crowd feverishly chanted their thoughts about the U.S. Champion, Cena, who competed without any kind of protective mask to protect his recent nose injury, powered past his opponent with a series of takedowns and shoulder blocks that demonstrated his physical capabilities in the ring.
Momentum stayed behind Cena until Rollins started to show off an arsenal of moves that was as flashy as the all-white outfit he wore to ringside. The maneuvers, from a wicked neckbreaker to to a vicious chest stomp from the top rope to a successful Figure Four Leglock reversal, each appeared as part of the former Shield defector’s overall goal — expose the vulnerability of the 15-time World Champion’s broken nose by hitting him with a Pedigree.

Nothing Rollins tried led to the desired outcome, but a change of fortune came his way thanks to the unfortunate positioning of the referee. A late Attitude Adjustment by Cena knocked out his rival and the ring official, who suffered an unfortunate collision during the U.S. Champion’s execution of his signature finishing move. The confusion left the Cenation leader struggling to stay in control, and signaled the start of a controversial moment that will leave the WWE Universe talking for years to come.

However, the SummerSlam host revealed his true reason for being at ringside by hitting a weary Cena with the steel chair. Stewart cemented his role in the scandalous moment by leaving the chair in the center of the ring, allowing Rollins to finally connect his planned Pedigree and finish off his foe for good.
The victory makes Rollins just the second Superstar to claim a victory in a Winner Takes All bout at SummerSlam, putting him in the company of Jeff Jarrett, who won the Intercontinental and European Titles at SummerSlam 1999. Cena, who is now winless at SummerSlam since 2010, concludes his fourth U.S. Championship tenure with a mark of 147 days, which stands as his longest reign with the coveted title.

WWE TLC:Tables,Ladders and Chairs

15.12.2013

Fandango def. Dolph Ziggler (Kickoff Match)

HOUSTON – In the first one-on-one matchup between two of WWE’s most confident Superstars, the fleet-footed Fandango
used a timely distraction from Summer Rae to pick up an impressive victory over Dolph Ziggler in the WWE TLC Kickoff Match.

In front of the WWE Universe at a packed Toyota Center – and watching live around the world on WWE.com, the WWE App,
YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo!, Google+, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox, Sony PS3, Pinterest and Pheed – Fandango,
accompanied by the stunning Summer Rae, had some choice words for the WWE fans in attendance and the famed Texas Line
Dance before the bell rung and the two Superstars tore into each other.

WWE’s ballroom dancing aficionado took the early advantage, withstanding a high-impact dropkick from The Showoff to keep
the pressure on. Tossing the two-time World Heavyweight Champion over the top rope, Fandango and his show stealing
opponent began trading offensive maneuvers and pin attempts. Ziggler used Billy Gunn’s renowned Famouser to come with
nanoseconds of the victory.

Fandango, however, endured everything Ziggler threw at him, moving like Gene Kelly and grappling like Gene LeBell.
When the back-and-forth fight went to the top rope, a well-timed distraction from Summer Rae gave her leading man the
window he needed, as Fandango hit Ziggler with a crushing leg drop for the win.

While it was an impressive showing in defeat, Ziggler heads back to the drawing board. The graceful Fandango and his
beautiful dance partner, meanwhile, pick up a huge win in the Kickoff Match of WWE’s final pay-per-view of the year and
look primed for big things in 2014.

CM Punk def. The Shield (3-on-1 Handicap Match)

HOUSTON — Ahead of his 3-on-1 Handicap Match against United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins,
CM Punk seemed almost resigned to his fate. Fully expecting to walk into a “wholesale slaughter,” The Best in the World
sounded all but accepting of defeat so long as he took down at least some members of The Shield in the process.

Instead, armed with strategy, patience and wherewithal, Punk exceeded even his own predictions and earned a hard-fought
victory at WWE TLC. Perhaps more significantly, the lopsided match may have further contributed to an emerging crack in
The Shield, leaving the cohesiveness of one of WWE’s most destructive trios in question.

The bout, ordered by Director of Operations Kane shortly after Punk publicly criticized The Authority, allowed the three
Shield members to tag in and out. Meanwhile, The Voice of the Voiceless — suffering from bruised ribs, thanks to a recent
spear by Reigns — was left with an empty corner. He was not without support, however, as the Toyota Center broke into
chants of “CM Punk” seconds after the opening bell rang.

Ambrose and Rollins took turns pawing at Punk, with The Straight Edge Superstar getting the better of each Hound of
Justice. The momentum swayed with the entrance of Reigns, who muscled Punk into the corner and tossed him to the floor
like a ragdoll. Reigns attempted to spear Punk outside the ring, but the savvy Second City Strategist sidestepped him,
causing the black-clad warrior to barrel over the commentators’ desk.

Reigns narrowly beat the referee’s count and re-entered the ring, but was clearly worse for wear, favoring his left eye
which, replays revealed, had drilled a chair during the ill-fated spear attempt. Within seconds, the area around his eye
began to swell, and once Reigns tagged out, WWE medical staff rushed in to assess the injury.

Punk continued to valiantly fight off the attack of Rollins and Ambrose, at times using their own momentum against them,
but the numbers disadvantage proved truly debilitating. After a rapid series of offensive maneuvers, Punk began to lock
the Anaconda Vise on Rollins, yet interference from the volatile Ambrose prevented The Best in the World from gaining
a submission victory.

Nonetheless, The Straight Edge Superstar kept his wits about him, reversing a butterfly superplex attempt by Ambrose and
surveying the WWE Universe before launching into an elbow drop. Moments later, Punk dropped Rollins with the GTS.

With Rollins asleep, Ambrose then squirmed out of a second GTS attempt, only for Reigns—who had by then regained his
composure—to take aim at Punk with another spear. Yet, Punk again avoided the impact, and Reigns inadvertently drove
into Ambrose, leaving the United States Champion easy prey for a Punk pin … and underdogs around the world believing
in The Best.

Where the match result leaves The Shield, as a unit, remains far less clear.

AJ Lee def. Natalya-Divas Championship Match

HOUSTON – AJ Lee remains on top of the Divas division, retaining the butterfly-emblazoned prize at WWE TLC Sunday night.
Despite a noble, weeks-long effort by former champion Natalya, it was AJ who continued her dominant reign at the
pay-per-view, thanks to the help of Tamina Snuka looming at ringside.

In the weeks leading up to their WWE TLC match, Natalya seemed to have AJ’s number, as the Hart Dungeon-trained Diva
defeated the Divas Champion three times by pinfall or submission. AJ scoffed at that notion when approached by Renee Young
before the Divas Title Match, and stated that her only number was “one” – as in, the one Diva in WWE who matters and
always wins when it counts. AJ also took the opportunity to point out that she should have won Diva of the Year on Raw
last Monday, then called the Slammys, the Divas division and “Total Divas” a joke before assuring the WWE Universe she’d
have the last laugh at WWE TLC.

It was a promise she certainly kept, but it wasn’t easy. Natalya countered AJ’s first Black Widow attempt with one fierce
suplex after another, building momentum against the Divas Champion. She looked to put AJ away with the Sharpshooter,
but AJ fought her way out of the hold. After Tamina distracted Natalya by getting her attention at ringside, AJ locked
in the Black Widow again, but Natalya powered out with an unbelievable effort that shocked everyone watching, most notably
the champion. But AJ quickly rebounded, rolling up Natalya after her second Sharpshooter attempt after grabbing a handful
of the third-generation Diva’s pink and blonde hair. AJ figuratively skipped her way to another victory, leaving a
distraught and heartbroken Natalya teary-eyed in the ring at the Toyota Center.

Will AJ continue to control the Divas division with her fierce follower, Tamina, at her side? Or will Natalya – or another
“Total Divas” star – find a way to finally take down the cunning Divas Champion?

Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston def. Damien Sandow

HOUSTON – Alas, Damien Sandow remains uncrowned, as the self-styled scholar fell to the rolling Intercontinental Champion,
Big E Langston, in what was to be his grand bid for redemption following a failed Money in the Bank cash-in.

The esteemed Mr. Sandow certainly aimed high in attempting to rebound from the historic shortcoming of his cash-in,
targeting the most physically intimidating of WWE’s current champions as his would-be comeback opponent. The Enlightened
One’s gaudy bravado leading into the match, however, was quickly exposed as hollow hubris when Langston laid into his
feisty challenger with the force of a freight train.

A champion who speaks softly  and carries a big stick, Big E let his storied strength do all the work of Sandow’s
interminable orations and then some, shutting down Sandow’s opening salvo by putting his entire 290-pound frame into a pair
of monstrous corner splashes. Sandow’s strategy gave him a brief leg up at the expense of Big E’s own when he rammed the
titleholder face-first into the turnbuckle outside the ring, and the challenger capitalized on Langston’s disorientation
by taking him out at the legs before pouncing with the Elbow of Disdain.

Sandow inched his way closer to victory by punishing  Langston with a bare knee to the small of the champion’s back.
Big E kept himself in the game with several well-timed power maneuvers, including a plus-sized Electric Chair drop that
nearly put Sandow through the concrete. Ever the fan of the classics, Sandow came the closest to victory with that most
classic of maneuvers, the roll-up pin, during a frenzied trade of offense as the bout approached its breaking point.
Yet his underestimation of Langston’s resolve proved to be the self-styled intellectual savior’s undoing, as the big man
plowed Sandow into Tuesday (the 24th, not this Tuesday) with a running splash and wiped him out moments later with
the Big Ending.

While it’s unlikely the humiliation will deter Sandow for long, perhaps it’s poetic justice – the kind an enlightened soul
would truly appreciate – that the story of his sinister redemption now becomes another chapter in Langston’s unlikely,
unmissable rise through the ranks of WWE. If nothing else, Langston has silenced Sandow for the time being, something for
which the WWE Universe can give a hearty “thank you.”

WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust & Cody Rhodes def. Rey Mysterio & Big Show,The Real Americans and Ryback & Curtis Axel
  (Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match)

HOUSTON — Despite the odds being against them in every conceivable fashion at WWE TLC, WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes
& Goldust outlasted three other tandems to retain their titles in a grueling Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match.

The champions went into WWE TLC with all of their opponents feeling confident about a victory. Both The Real Americans and
Curtis Axel & Ryback captured victories over Rhodes & Goldust in recent weeks, while the combined strength and speed of
Rey Mysterio & Big Show made them a newfound wild card.

It was Ryback & Curtis Axel who dominated the opening minutes of the match. The monstrous Ryback exerted his power over
The Rhodes Brothers, until the veteran Goldust surprised his massive foe with a rollup that sent The Human Wrecking Ball
and Axel to the locker room for an early shower.

After the first elimination, The Real Americans entered the bout for the first time. The fresh tandem of Antonio Cesaro &
Jack Swagger pounced on offense, using their freakish strength to take control. Swagger clobbered Goldust on the outside
with a huge clothesline, and no matter how hard The Bizarre One tried to reach his brother, Rey Mysterio or Big Show,
The Real Americans expertly cut him off from completing a tag. Cesaro made things even more complicated for his foe after
dizzying him with an impressive Cesaro Swing.

Goldust was eventually able to rally to his feet and tag in The World’s Largest Athlete, who promptly steamrolled over
Cesaro. Despite their best efforts to fell the giant, Swagger and Cesaro both met the same fate at Big Show’s hand.
Two KO Punches ensured that Zeb Colter and his crew would not be leaving Houston with the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Though The Rhodes Brothers were able to slow down Big Show by combining to suplex the giant, it was a different story once
he tagged in Rey Mysterio. Despite being the speedier member of his team, Cody Rhodes was no match for The Master of
The 619; like a whirling dervish, Mysterio twisted and twirled through the air, staying one step ahead of Rhodes.
On several occasions, it looked like there would be new champions crowned.

However, in the end, Cody Rhodes finally caught up to the speedy Mysterio, reversing one of his dizzying attacks into
Cross Rhodes to retain their titles. Both teams embraced after the match in a show of sportsmanship, but it was The Rhodes
Brothers who would exit Houston with the WWE Tag Team Championships in tow – and further cement their status as the
division’s top tandem.

  R-Truth def. Brodus Clay

HOUSTON — Bad news for the rump shakers on Planet Funk — it looks like the dance party may be over.

Displaying a demeanor that was more Michael Myers than Michael Jackson at WWE TLC, Brodus Clay fought so ugly against
R-Truth that Tensai, Naomi and Cameron abandoned their friend in disgust. Clay, distracted by his pals leaving his side,
was rolled up and pinned by Truth. With that, it became clear that the party people of Tons of Funk were no longer
 moving in sync.

It was yet another setback for Clay, who pulled a major party foul when he gave Xavier Woods permission to use his spirited
entrance — Funkadactyls and all — and then humiliated the rookie in a match on Raw in a fit of jealous rage.

Unlike the young Woods, R-Truth would not be intimidated by the imposing big man. Using his speed and precision to keep
The Funkasaurus off balance, Truth illustrated the benefits of a veteran’s experience in the squared circle.

Brodus battled back, though, eventually crotching Truth on the top rope and then pounding the former United States Champion
into the mat with splashes, suplexes and even a heart punch. The grinning playfulness that normally defined Clay’s
performances was pushed aside as he clinically picked apart his opponent with maneuvers designed to cause injury.

The disrespect the big man displayed towards R-Truth didn’t only insult the Houston crowd — it offended his entire
entourage. When Clay prepared to send Truth into the steel ring steps, Sweet T stood in the way and demanded that his
friend fight fairly. The Funkasaurus continued to abuse Truth, leading Tensai to confront his partner on the ring apron.
When Clay exclaimed, “I’m a main event playa! I’m better than you,” Sweet T walked away and The Funkadactyls followed
close behind.

With the abandonment diverting his attention, Clay was rolled up by the cagey Truth and beaten. It was a bitter moment for
the boogie man, but an important one for the rapping Superstar. Tons of Funk’s soul train may have derailed, but R-Truth
and Xavier Woods are sure to keep the party going. Now that’s what’s up.

Kofi Kingston def. The Miz (No Disqualification Match)

HOUSTON — The Miz boldly proclaimed during the WWE TLC Kickoff that Kofi Kingston had no “killer instinct.” He quickly
found out how wrong he was during WWE TLC. In an action-packed No Disqualification Match, The Wildcat finally got to shut
The Awesome One up, defeating his mouthy foe.

Emotions have been running high between the two as of late, with The Miz picking up several victories over Kingston,
as well as slapping the high-flyer in the face. Things came to a boiling point during the Kickoff, where Miz continuously
made digs at Kingston while the Kickoff Panel analyzed the epic pay-per-view. Fed up with The Awesome One’s derision,
Kingston confronted The Miz, delivering a slap of his own his before Hall of Famers Mick Foley and Booker T separated them.

Kingston pounced into action at the opening bell, taking The Miz down and unleashing a flurry of blows. Kofi tried to take
flight, but The Awesome One quickly grounded him with a forearm to the jaw. The bout remained on the outside as Kingston
regained control, laying in boots to The Miz’s midsection, but when he tried to land Trouble in Paradise, he connected with
the steel ring post instead of his opponent’s head.

The recovering Miz focused his ruthless attack on the weakened leg of Kingston while assaulting Kofi around ringside.
Though he seemed to have Kingston on the ropes, The Awesome One wanted to  punish his foe, removing the pad to expose the
 cold steel turnbuckle.

That move became The Miz’s undoing. The Dreadlocked Dynamo mustered up the might to send Miz crashing head-first into the
exposed turnbuckle. The Awesome One stumbled backwards, turning around only to get caught with Trouble in Paradise,
giving Kingston the victory.

If anyone questioned Kofi Kingston’s intensity before WWE TLC, The Wildcat gave them – and especially The Miz – no reason
 to continue doing so.

The Wyatt Family def. Daniel Bryan (3-on-1 Handicap Match)

HOUSTON – Nobody says “NO!” to Bray Wyatt. The buzzards feasted on goat meat in Houston after Daniel Bryan refused to join
Wyatt’s clan of followers and felt the wrath of the crazed cultists in the second 3-on-1 Handicap Match of the night.

With Bryan thrown into the wolves’ den by his former friend and now WWE Director of Operations Kane, who orchestrated the
match, Bray began the match in his customary rocking chair, content to observe his acolytes’ brutal handiwork as they went
to work in the opening moments. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, Wyatt’s pair of personal Goliaths, manhandled their David
early on. Bryan – who Wyatt intended to out as a monster in sheep’s clothing – was forced to hack away at Harper’s legs
with shin kicks to claim his first lead of the night.

The submission master’s advantage didn’t last long, though, and Rowan soon tagged in to toss Bryan to and fro like a
bearded Brawlin’ Buddy. Once the masked monster had done his work, Wyatt rose from his perch and his minions understood
that the time had come for "The Eater of Worlds" to enter the fray. Wyatt not only went a long way towards fulfilling his
own prophecy of Bryan’s destruction but he celebrated it, stalking his opponent in a skin-raising crab walk and creepily
rolling on the ground in delight while Bryan teetered on the brink of destruction.

The wildness of The Wyatts’ own offense led to an unexpected display of solidarity; after his lieutenants administered
another round of punishment, Bray presented Bryan his hand in a final gesture of mercy, offering to “make it all go away.”
Bryan, to put it lightly, refused, kicking Wyatt’s hand away in a show of defiance before raining elbows into the face of
the self-styled monster. Wyatt’s response was one of unbridled rage, and the overwhelmed Bryan soon found himself at the
Family’s mercy once again.

Fed up with Bryan’s defiance, Bray instructed Harper to dispose of the “Yes!” man, but the big man’s titanic sit-out
powerbomb wasn’t enough to dispatch the upstart challenger. Bryan took advantage of Harper’s subsequent frustration to
find his second wind, reaching deep to take both Harper and Rowan out of the match, bringing it down, once again,
to Bryan and his would-be savior.

The former WWE Champion gave his all in the last-ditch effort to escape Wyatt’s hell, yet the “Man of 1,000 Truths” would
not be denied, muscling his way free of the “Yes!” Lock to rain a smothering series of blows on his prone opponent.
With the tenderness of a father raising his newborn son, Bray picked Bryan up off the mat … and transitioned seamlessly
into the punishment of a match-ending Sister Abigail.

With the bell tolling for Daniel Bryan, Bray fell to his knees and embraced his fallen foe in a gesture of … something.
Sportsmanship? Pity? Brotherhood? Perhaps what they’re fighting for isn’t as important as the conviction with which they
fought. Maybe he knew that, even though he couldn’t convert Bryan, he still exposed his animal nature in defeat. Maybe,
for Bray Wyatt, that was all that really mattered.

WWE Champion Randy Orton def. World Heavyweight Champion John Cena (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)

HOUSTON — In what was the most pivotal match in WWE’s 50-year history, WWE Champion Randy Orton defeated World Heavyweight
Champion John Cena in a harrowing Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match to unify sports-entertainment’s two most integral titles
and become the first-ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

It was the beginning of a brave new world for WWE and — as is often the case with change — it did not come without a price.
If the road map of cuts and bruises on the bodies of both Cena and Orton don’t tell the story, the image of the Cenation
leader lying unconscious against a table with one arm handcuffed to the ring rope and the other twisted underneath his
 massive body surely will.

That was how this historic match ended, but it began just as ugly. Although the career rivals started the bout with an
exchange of straight holds, things quickly deteriorated as Orton introduced a ladder into the ring within minutes of the
opening bell. The first major offensive maneuver also belonged to The Viper, who buckled The Champ with a chair blast that
reverberated throughout the Toyota Center with a cringe-inducing bang.

If The Authority had questioned Orton’s passion in order to inspire him, it clearly worked. The Viper seemed to be The
Legend Killer of old, keeping Cena grounded with deliberate chair shots and picking at his bones with slow, methodical
stomps and kicks. Whenever The Champ managed to fight his way back into the contest, Orton would cut him off at the knees
 — even stopping a Five Knuckle Shuffle attempt with a brilliantly placed kick to Cena’s head.

Of course, trying to keep John Cena down is like pushing a boulder uphill. Proving himself to be every bit as willing to
get his hands dirty as his opponent, the Cenation leader put The Viper on his back, scaled the ladder and dropped a fist
into his rival’s face instead of reaching for the titles. Using some sharp strategy, Cena didn’t chase the championships.
Instead, he bided his time until Orton got back on his feet, then drove a ladder into him, sending him off the apron and
through a table.

Fifteen feet above the ring, the WWE and World Heavyweight Titles hung from a golden apparatus, but they might as well have
been a mile away. As Cena began his ascent to immortality, The Viper impossibly made his way back into the ring,
knocked The Champ from his perch and connected with a picture-perfect RKO. The glorious carnage left both men
incapacitated in the center of the ring as an ecstatic Houston crowd rumbled around them.

When the Superstars staggered to their feet, the match truly began to resemble something closer to a bar fight as the
combatants exchanged headbutts and full fists. Cena finally dropped Orton by driving the steel ring steps into him,
but The Viper took command yet again by blasting the Cenation leader with a microphone, then stomping his head into the
 steel ring steps.

Taking his time, Orton waited for Cena to begin to struggle to his feet before he attempted to punt The Champ. Somehow,
though, Cena avoided The Viper’s boot, spun him around and drove him through the Spanish announce table with a resounding
 Attitude Adjustment.

Now moving in slow motion after the physical trauma he had been subjected to, the World Heavyweight Champion made his way
up the ladder. Yet, Orton — rising again like the monster in a horror movie — ripped the ladder out from under him.
The Cenation leader made the mistake of holding onto the hanging apparatus, which only allowed for The Viper to bash him
with a steel chair like he was teeing off on a pinata.

The most pivotal moment in this historic match came moments after Cena drove Orton though a table with a desperate tackle.
Clearly, the act took something out of both men — possibly more out of Cena — but it sent Orton to the outside, where he
retrieved a pair of handcuffs he had brilliantly hidden under a ringside mat.

Employing an enviable bit of strategy, The Viper shackled The Champ to the bottom rope before taunting his opponent with
the hubris of a James Bond villain. After tossing the keys into the audience, Orton slowly moved up the ladder,
but he failed to notice what Cena was doing down below.

Ingeniously unscrewing the bottom turnbuckle, The Champ was able to move about the ring — although he was still connected
to the rope — and knock Orton down. The Viper fought back, though, grabbing the rope that was still hooked to Cena’s arm
and yanking it with all his might. The Cenation leader struggled, but he was unable to overpower Orton with one arm.
Ultimately, Cena was yanked from the top and driven face first into the edge of a wooden table.

The ugly impact knocked the World Heavyweight Champion into next week. With his greatest opponent out cold underneath him,
Orton began his climb once again. When he reached the top, he savored the moment, taking what felt like minutes to unlatch
the two most important championships in sports-entertainment history.

Standing there for all the WWE Universe to see, The Viper became the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion in history and
the spiritual successor to Lou Thesz, Bruno Sammartino, Ric Flair, Harley Race and every other indispensable ring legend
who ever carried these vaunted titles.

Soon, The Authority joined Orton in the ring and congratulated their handpicked hero as the enormity of the situation
dawned on a recovering Cena. With that, an important chapter in WWE history had been written, and a new one had begun.

WWE Survivor Series

 WWE Survivor Series
       24.11.2013

Interconinetal Champion Big E Langston def. Curtis Axel

BOSTON – Dubbed a “WWE Champion in the making” by former title holders like JBL, Big E Langston proved his
Intercontinental Championship win against former champion Curtis Axel was no fluke, successfully defending the title
against the third-generation Superstar at Survivor Series.

Certainly paving a path to becoming one of WWE’s most dominant Superstars, Langston defeated Axel on Raw after his
Intercontinental Championship opportunity at WWE Hell in a Cell was cancelled due to Axel’s injury. Though the jury is
still out for the long-term regarding Axel’s decision to ditch his manager Paul Heyman, at least in the short-term it
looks as though the son of Mr. Perfect might have benefited from Heyman’s guidance.

Langston showed no fear entering the ring at Survivor Series, immediately putting his power and speed on display.
The power-lifting Superstar has been compared to WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons and other competitors known for utilizing
their strength inside the squared circle, but Axel saw firsthand that Langston’s athleticism and agility may be more of
an asset than his power.

Axel was no slouch though, taking advantage of Langston reeling on the outside of the ring. Executing a number of
high-impact strikes to build momentum, Axel’s strategy quickly became one of keeping Langston at bay. Big E regained
control by overpowering his challenger, but Axel channeled his father  and executed an impressive Perfect Plex.

In recent weeks, Langston has showcased his abilities and at Survivor Series, he added resilience to his growing list
of attributes. Axel attempted his match finishing neck-breaker, but Langston countered and  secured a victory following
his patented Big Ending.

Natalya,The Bellas,The Funkadactyls,JoJo & Eva Marie def. Divas Champion AJ Lee,Tamina Snuka,Kaitlyn,Rosa Mendes,Summer
Rae,Aksana & Alicia Fox

BOSTON – At Survivor Series Sunday night, the jealous Divas Champion AJ Lee, her enforcer Tamina Snuka and a posse of
five other rebelling Divas were served an eye-opening reality check that would make Roddy Piper and all of the Real
Housewives proud. It was a close call, but the technical prowess of Natalya made the difference in the cast of
“Total Divas” prevailing over a team of resentful competitors not showcased on E!’s hit reality series.

Alicia Fox was quickly pinned by the impressive Naomi following a dazzling split-legged springboard moonsault from the
top rope. Following the eliminations of Cameron and Rosa Mendes, Nikki Bella and Summer Rae entered into an impromptu
dance contest, but Summer was a bit too confident in her tango. With Fandango’s waltz partner posing in the ring,
Nikki nailed her with a stiff kick to the skull, sending Summer from the ring back to the ballroom.

Former Divas Champion Kaitlyn showed her muscle as The Hybrid Diva eliminated both “newbie” Eva Marie and the funky Naomi
with back-to-back executions of a maneuver that sent them from her shoulders to a knee in the gut. Brie Bella achieved
immediate retribution, pinning Kaitlyn following a top-rope missile dropkick.

Aksana and Brie were both sent packing next and the dangerous Tamina Snuka stepped between the ropes. The daughter of
Jimmy Snuka wiped the canvas with Nikki, and the exhausted Bella Twin slowly crawled to her corner to find only JoJo
available and holding out her hand. Nikki reluctantly tagged in the youngest member of her team, giving JoJo her first
official taste of WWE action. The rookie folded like a tent under the colossal Tamina. A momentary burst of energy
afforded JoJo the opportunity to attempt a crossbody off the top rope, but Tamina caught the E! star in mid-air.
A Samoan Drop later and JoJo was toast. Tamina tagged in AJ, allowing the detestable Divas Champion to score the pin.

Natalya entered the contest to tangle with Tamina in a clash of second-generation Divas, but Jim “The Anvil” likely
winced at the sight of her daughter’s head crushing against the turnbuckle courtesy of the mighty Tamina. Yet,
the powerful Diva was a bit too confident and, upon missing a Superfly Splash, tapped out to The Sharpshooter.
An attempt by AJ to quickly gain the upper hand as the only remaining member of her team was unsuccessful.
With Bret Hart looking on, Nattie locked AJ in another Sharpshooter, forcing the outspoken Divas Champion to submit.

With Natalya and Nikki Bella as the bout’s survivors, the cast of “Total Divas” was momentarily drama-free in Beantown,
but their camaraderie likely won’t translate when the E! cameras start rolling again.

Mark Henry def. Ryback

BOSTON — In a colossal collision between two of WWE’s largest Superstars, Mark Henry returned to WWE with a vengeance
and overcame Ryback in a smashmouth-style bout.

The contest featured power moves by both massive Superstars, who looked to annihilate each other. Although Ryback held
his own at the start, the result was a repeat of their confrontation at WrestleMania XXIX last April — he simply could
not match the power of The World’s Strongest Man.

In a brutal maneuver, Henry launched himself into the air and battered Ryback with a vicious cross body out of the corner.
Next, Henry ended Ryback’s hopes of a win with a massive World’s Strongest Slam that was heard all the way up in
the rafters of the TD Garden.

The impromptu match came about when Ryback interrupted the Survivor Series Kickoff Panel, featuring WWE Hall of Famers
Mick Foley, Booker T and Bret “Hitman” Hart. After Ryback boldly declared he intimidated the three Hall of Famers,
he issued an open challenge to anyone in the WWE locker room.

Answering the call, The World’s Strongest Man — returning from a right hamstring injury that shelved him for the past
several months — accepted the challenge and took the fight to Ryback.

The Shield & The Real Americans def. WWE Tag Team Cmapions Cody Rhodes & Goldust,The Usos & Rey Mysterio (Traditional
Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match)

BOSTON – Not even the return of Rey Mysterio and the bright lights of a WWE pay-per-view could derail the oncoming train
that was Roman Reigns, as The Shield’s main muscle outlasted the competition in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series
Elimination Tag Team Match to become the sole survivor.

Joining The Ultimate Underdog in his Survivor Series return were two pairs of battling brothers — WWE Tag Team Champions
Cody Rhodes & Goldust and the high-flying Usos. Opposite them was the intimidating Shield, consisting of Reigns,
tag team partner Seth Rollins & U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose and the surging Real Americans, Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro.

The stipulations of the match indicate that the teams compete in a five-on-five tag contest with the added twist that
Superstars are eliminated individually — via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count-out — until one squad has
no members remaining.

Kicking off the bout — and the 27th Annual Survivor Series event proper — Cody Rhodes and Dean Ambrose set a fast-paced
tone for what would be an explosive and memorable contest. But when Ambrose got into a heated argument with the referee,
the titleholder literally talked his way out of the match, as Rhodes rolled him up for the bout’s first elimination.

After order momentarily broke down, the match reset and a lightning-fast Rey Mysterio lit up Boston’s TD Garden.
Mysterio hit Swagger with a 619 and spun him into an aerial assault by The Usos, who in turn eliminated The Real American
from the bout and set their team up with the 5-on-3 advantage.

However, teammate Antonio Cesaro would swing the momentum back in his team’s direction, literally, trapping both Uso
brothers in successive, impressive Cesaro Swings. Yet a quick tag in would allow the younger Rhodes brother to trap a
slightly dizzy Cesaro, rolling him up for the three-count, and putting Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins in a bad way.

The tag team partners worked in tandem to isolate their opponents, though, and a Reigns spear to Jimmy Uso was followed
by a cover, eliminating one brother from the bout.

Rollins and Cody then locked horns, and though Rhodes was able to hit the Cross Rhodes on his opponent, Rollins had
already tagged in Reigns, who nailed Cody with a spear before covering him for the three-count. Jey Uso and Reigns went
at it on the outside, with The Shield member being hurled into the ringside barrier.

When Rollins pinned Jey back inside the ring after yet another spear, the odds were quickly evened up, with the remaining
Shield members facing off against Goldust & Rey. Despite taking a nasty spill, The Master of the 619 dug deep and found
a way to roll up Rollins for the pinfall.

And so it came down to Roman Reigns, facing both Mysterio & Goldust, exactly one year after The Shield made their
infamous WWE debut. Unlike how it had been for the majority of that year, however, Reigns did not have the numbers
advantage, staring down at two WWE legends on his own.

A thundering spear from the black-clad brickhouse, delivered to Goldust, turned the match around on a dime and set up an
epic one-on-one battle 30 minutes into the bout. Unbeknown to the WWE Universe, however, was just how close to the end
it was. When Rey set up his foe for a potentially match-ending 619, Reigns bounced up from the ropes and floored
Mysterio with a ring-shaking spear.

And so it was that Roman Reigns stood alone in the end, eliminating four members of the opposition with four spears,
and emerging as the sole survivor in a bout brimming with top talent.

CM Punk & Daniel Bryan def.Luke Harper & Erick Rowan

BOSTON — Thanksgiving may be days away, but after not only surviving, but prevailing in, a dangerous brawl against
The Wyatt Family at WWE’s fall classic, The Best and The Beard have plenty to be thankful for.

Despite competing at an immense size disadvantage and having to contend with the ringside presence of Bray Wyatt,
the potent combination of CM Punk & Daniel Bryan dealt a huge loss to Luke Harper & Erick Rowan at the 27th annual
Survivor Series.

At just under 17 minutes, Punk hit the GTS on Harper to score the winning pinfall. Though the victory was undoubtedly
gratifying to The Second City Saint and WWE’s “Yes!” man, it was anything but easy.

For weeks, the wicked trio’s sneak attacks have decimated the popular Superstars, with The Eater of Worlds blaming their
actions on “the devil” and urging Punk and Bryan to “run.” The Wyatt Family laid out Punk & Bryan as recently as two
days ago on SmackDown, but on the Survivor Series Kickoff, The Best in the World made clear that he and Bryan were not
afraid of their opposition but, rather, eager to  scrap.

And what a scrap it was. To the sounds of the sold-out T.D. Garden chanting “Yes!” and “This is awesome!” the contrasting
styles — Harper and Rowan’s ferocious fisticuffs, and Punk and Bryan’s technique — played out in an evenly fought contest.
Sitting in his trademark rocking chair, Wyatt watched on as his lurching monsters mauled their smaller opponents in
the early goings, despite Punk and Bryan’s best efforts to strike and move.

The Best and The Beard did land a series of double-team maneuvers, including a double dropkick and an homage to The Hart
Foundation’s Hart Attack, but a savvy distraction by Rowan gave Harper time to regain composure and drop Punk with a
massive boot to the face.

From there, the Wyatt Family members’ backwoods brawling style took over in impressive form.

The unkempt Harper sank in his alligator roll and planted Punk with a Michinoku Driver. Even though the WWE Universe in
Boston rallied The Best to make a tag, Bryan’s subsequent flurry — though effective — was all too brief. A top-rope
hurricanrana attempt was blocked by Harper and reversed into a devastating sit-out powerbomb, and Rowan launched Punk
over the ropes to the floor.

With Wyatt yelling, “This is all your fault, Daniel,” Rowan repeatedly slammed The Beard and cut off the ring, booting
Punk off the apron and, in the process, preventing him from making a tag.

Things looked especially bleak for The Best and The Beard after Harper dropped Bryan with a half-nelson suplex.
Moments later, however, Harper ran into a head kick by Punk, and Bryan — galvanized by a chorus of “Yes!” — tagged in
The Second City Saint.

Re-energized, Punk leapt into a springboard clothesline, connected with his knee in the corner and even dove onto Rowan
and Wyatt on the floor. In the bout’s final moments, Rowan helped Harper escape a GTS, but thanks to a well-timed Running
Knee Strike by Bryan on the red-bearded brawler, The Best was able to muscle Harper up for a match-winning GTS.

Now that Punk and Bryan have defeated his henchmen, the WWE Universe is left to wonder about the next move from the
cryptic Eater of Worlds.

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena def. Alberto Del Rio

BOSTON – Brushing off a lingering injury, World Heavyweight Champion John Cena heroically overcame the treacherous Alberto
Del Rio in an extremely hard-fought World Title Match at Survivor Series.

On route to WWE’s fall classic, the WWE Universe was unsure whether Cena’s surgically repaired triceps would hold up
against his notoriously vicious No. 1 contender and his devastating Cross Armbreaker – especially since Del Rio has
spent the better part of the weeks leading up Survivor Series attacking The Champ.

However, the intestinal fortitude that helped make Cena a 14-time World Champion would ultimately put those doubts to
rest – starting with the valiant titleholder refusing to wear his protective brace as he came to the ring to face the
dangerous 4-time World Champion.

While it was true that Cena had an incredible record of seven wins and only one loss at Survivor Series heading into the
contest, the skillful Del Rio would waste little time executing an aggressive offense designed to take this Champ out
early. This would include hurling the titleholder’s hurt appendage into the unforgiving steel steps, attacking him from
the top rope and generally targeting his opponent’s weakness at every pass.

Things went from bad to worse when the action spilled outside the ring, as Del Rio mercilessly lunched The Champ in the
ringside barricade and mocked him to boot.

Every time that Cena would start to build momentum – whether it be knocking back his No. 1 contender with a
earth-shattering dropkick as his attacker came off the top rope, or hitting the Five Knuckle Shuffle – Del Rio would find
a counter and take Cena back down to the mat.

Still, no matter what he did, the Mexican Superstar could not put away the ultra-resilient Cenation Leader– as the World
Heavyweight Champion kicked out of pin attempt after pin attempt – leaving every ounce of his Hustle, Loyalty and
Respect on the field of battle!

Once again looking to put away the iron titleholder, Del Rio finally went for the Cross Armbreaker, only to find himself
in the STF! But the Essence of Excellence was not going to give up either and reached the ropes to break the hold,
showing equal resilience.

In the height of the action, when Del Rio finally cinched in the Cross Armbreaker on the arm in question, Cena again
roared back, miraculously lifting Del Rio up with incredible strength and hurling him back to the canvas.

And when Del Rio attempted a third Cross Armbreaker, it proved to be one attempt too many. For Cena would counter with
an Attitude Adjustment out of nowhere and bring the WWE Universe it its feet with another gutsy successful title defense!

WWE Champion Randy Orton def. Big Show

BOSTON — WWE Champion Randy Orton retained his title against Big Show at Survivor Series in a manner that has become
standard for the manipulative Authority. But The Viper wasn’t the only champion standing in the ring at the end of the
night.

Making a massive statement without speaking a word, World Heavyweight Champion John Cena interrupted Orton’s victory
celebration and faced off with his greatest rival in the center of the ring. No blows were exchanged, but WWE’s two top
dogs held their titles high, teasing a potential showdown that has been a long time coming.

It was an unpredictable ending to a match that was defined by unexpected moments. Earlier in the evening, WWE COO Triple H
had announced that there would be no physical interference in any of the night’s bouts. That was troubling news for a
WWE Champion who has relied heavily on the influence of The Authority to keep him in the title picture. A week after he
had uttered the words, “I probably can’t beat Big Show by myself,” Orton was all alone against a true giant.

If The Viper lacked confidence, he made no attempt to hide it as he rolled out of the ring as soon as the bell rang.
Hoping to avoid Big Show’s lethal fists, Orton stayed on the move early in the contest, but it’s hard to avoid the grasp
of a man with a wingspan like an airbus.

Ultimately snatching the champion up with his catcher’s mitt hands, Big Show began to tee off on Orton with punches that
could rearrange internal organs. All of The Viper’s third-generation instincts seemed to disappear as the idea of losing
his WWE Title — and his status as the “face of WWE” — became a disturbing reality.

Orton did show glimmers of his dangerous self at times. After yanking Big Show off the top rope and driving him face first
into the canvas, The Viper came within a millisecond of pinning his massive challenger. And Orton’s resilience was on
full display when he powered out of a pinfall attempt after being chokeslammed by the titan.

Still, the night belonged to Big Show. At the same event where he won his first WWE Title in 1999 (and his second in 2002),
The World’s Largest Athlete seemed on his way to doing it again when the action spilled to the outside. Although the
referee went down after an accidental collision, Show fended off Orton’s attempted chair attack and flung him into the
third row of Boston’s TD Garden. If that wasn’t enough punishment for The Viper, Big Show went ahead and knocked him out
on the arena floor. In that moment, the big man’s victory was all but a formality.

And then Triple H’s music hit. As The World’s Largest Athlete tossed Orton back in the ring and readied to pin him,
WWE’s COO, Stephanie McMahon and Kane gathered at the top of the entranceway. Finding a loophole in their own edict,
The Authority did not physically interfere in the bout, but they distracted the challenger just long enough for Orton
to shake off the cobwebs and connect with an RKO. To finally put Big Show away, The Viper punted him in the head and
 pinned the giant.

Despite rumors of tension between the WWE Champion and The Authority, the group seemed to be on the same page as the
“face of WWE” celebrated with his title. That was until John Cena broke up the party. Riding high after his successful
World Heavyweight Title defense against Alberto Del Rio, the Cenation leader brought his hometown crowd to its feet as
he deliberately set his sights on the WWE Champion.

What happens next with Orton and Cena is anybody’s guess, but things between WWE’s two World Champions are about to get
 very interesting.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2013 october 27,2013

World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio (c)

Cena's emotional pay-per-view comeback absolutely ignited the WWE Universe. From the early moments of the subsequent
matchup, however, it quickly became apparent that Del Rio’s vicious aggression would threaten that homecoming and,
in fact, the very career of his celebrated opposition.

Indeed, the treacherous titleholder would target the injured arm of his heroic No. 1 contender from the word go.
And despite Cena’s resilience and ability to roar back from his opponent’s unrelenting assault, it seemed for
a time as if the 13-time World Champion had indeed reemerged too early and was not 100%. With each passing moment,
Del Rio executed a calculating attack, designed to wear down his prey.

The resilient challenger would soon build a solid offense, catching Del Rio with a drop kick as his opponent came off
the top rope and following up with the Five-Knuckle Shuffle for a near near-fall.

But, as the two determined warriors battled back-and-forth with growing intensity, the fans couldn’t help but wonder
just how much punishment Cena would be able to take.

Then, in a critical moment, Cena avoided a Del Rio charge, sending the Mexican Champion directly into the unforgiving
steel post and allowing his iconic foe to hit a follow-up high cross body.

Regaining the advantage, Del Rio would try the Cross Armbreaker, only to have that attempt countered with the feared STF.
Still, the champion managed to persevere by getting two fingers on the ropes and forcing the referee to break the hold.

At wasn’t long before Del Rio would return to his signature maneuver, this time successfully locking in the Cross
Armbreaker. But even as he rolled down Cena’s protective pad to expose the injury, the incredible strength of
the Cenation Leader allowed him to pick up the reigning champion and miraculously drive him down into the canvas.

And when the stunned Essence of Excellence regained to advantage and went for his dreaded submission hold  yet again,
Cena would be ready for him – countering with an incredible Attitude Adjustment to grab the monumental three-count
to earn Cena the World Heavyweight Title amidst a standing ovation!

Returning from elbow surgery to repair a torn triceps, the determined Leader of the Cenation stepped back into action
with 13-time World Championships to his credit – including a record 11 reigns as WWE Champion as well as a two
World Heavyweight Titles.

But, in the weeks leading up to the pay-per-view showdown created by SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero,
the 4-time World Champion, Alberto Del Rio set out to prove that Cena’s best days were in fact behind him
– vowing to destroy his celebrated opponent by locking him in the Cross Armbreaker and never letting go.

As vicious as the intent of the Mexican titleholder was, though, it would not be enough to deny the intestinal
fortitude of a true WWE institution. And now that Cena had left WWE Hell in a Cell a 14-time World Champion,
one thing is for sure, The Champ is definitely here!

WWE Championship Hell In a Cell Match w/ special guest referee Shawn Michaels
Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan (c)

Why, exactly, “Mr. WrestleMania” acted against his student remains unclear. On the surface, there didn’t appear to be
any sort of fix in against the bearded rebel who has defied The Authority at every turn. However, it was clear something
was amiss from the very beginning, when Triple H – who had a heated discussion with HBK moments earlier – made a
grand show of parading the abeyant WWE Title before the match, offering handshakes to both Orton and Bryan.
Even as The Viper seemed smug and confident in his patron’s presence, Bryan’s rebuke of the handshake was repaid with a
knowing wink from the COO, as if he knew the tenacious grappler’s fate was already sealed.

The two rivals wasted no time on pleasantries once the steel came down, using everything from the ring ropes to the Cell
walls to their fists as weapons. Bryan attacked The Apex Predator with the force of a bullet train, but The Viper
picked his spots carefully, absorbing his opponent’s attacks and cutting Bryan off each time the submission master
neared critical mass. The early patience paid off almost immediately when Orton sent the winded former WWE Champion
flying into the Cell, leaving the “Yes!” man splayed and dazed outside the ring.

Exploiting the full lawlessness of Hell in a Cell, Orton attempted to use the steel steps as weapons, yet he seemed to
have underestimated Bryan’s capacity for ruthlessness. The “Yes!” man reversed Orton’s attempts to dismantle him,
slamming him into the steps and sending an ominous message to his clearly rattled opponent: Hell ain’t a bad place to be
 for Daniel Bryan.

Proving the Cell really does make monsters out of the noblest Superstars, Bryan brought Orton to the ring and trapped him
in the Tree of Woe, chopped away with a sequence of rib-rattling kicks and a baseball slide that turned The Viper into
a human bobblehead. As his momentum built, the “Yes!” man threw Orton outside the ring and struck with two suicide dives.
Once again, however, The Viper proved the more patient of the two and calmly dodged an attempted third.
Bryan’s momentum carried him headfirst into the chain link, knocked him into a stupor and handed The Viper the upper hand.

Orton took the fight back in between the ropes, though Bryan’s tenacity again proved more than he anticipated.
After suffering a barrage of headbutts from The Apex Predator, Bryan finally found his rhythm and hammered  Orton with
European uppercuts, then pulverized the reeling Viper with a diving headbutt  and a “Yes!” Lock that The Apex Predator
only barely managed to escape.

Orton staggered to the outside but found no mercy, as Bryan ground his head against the chain links before producing a
chair from beneath the ring and putting the implement to work. Not only did the submission master play a tune on
The Apex Predator’s exposed back, but Bryan also tossed about a dozen  steel chairs  into the ring. Sensing that his
old student was, perhaps, getting out of hand, HBK tried to talk some sense into the two-time WWE Champion.
But the fuming Bryan only had one response for his onetime sensei: “Get out of my way, Shawn.”

For the second time, Shawn Michaels attempted to intervene by talking The Viper down, and for the second time his words
fell on deaf ears. Orton tossed the chairs into a macabre pile and sent Bryan tumbling onto them with a top-rope superplex,
though the ensuing two-count briefly turned The Viper’s rage toward HBK instead of Bryan. The Apex Predator
all but demanded that The Showstopper give him a three-count, and HBK’s protests – his insistence that the contest be
decided fair and square – brought Triple H storming out of the locker room.

The King of Kings’ presence, understandably, took Michaels’ eye off the action at hand, and while the COO chastised his
best friend for putting his own interests in jeopardy, Orton regained the advantage by hurling  Bryan through  the air with
a devastating T-bone suplex. With Michaels’ time otherwise occupied by Triple H, though, Orton’s attempted pin
went unrecorded. The Viper didn’t take kindly to the oversight and joined Triple H in berating “Mr. WrestleMania”
for his evidently shoddy officiating. However, with all his attention focused on the bout’s referee,
Orton committed the one unforgivable sin of Hell in a Cell: He forgot about his opponent.

Bryan sprang immediately into action and “Yes!” Locked Orton again, bringing The Viper to the brink of submission.
Although Orton escaped the hold, the WWE Universe sensed the end was near and roared its approval. In the same arena
where the “YES!” chants first took life, Bryan fed off the crowd’s energy and found his groove again.
While the Universe roared and The King of Kings literally rattled the cage of  a conflicted Michaels,
Bryan countered the RKO by shoving The Viper into a distracted HBK, leaving the WWE Hall of Famer down  and
robbing the steel house of pain of its lone peacekeeper.

Unsurprisingly, this was the moment when all hell broke loose.

Seeing his best friend laid out threw The Game into a panic, and WWE’s COO demanded that the Cell door be unlocked so
Michaels could be attended to. While Triple H and WWE medical staff fumbled with the padlock, however,
Bryan made his move and leveled  Orton with the Running  Knee Smash. With Michaels unable to count,
Bryan attempted to rouse his  mentor  to fulfill his promise and bring the bout to a fair conclusion.
Triple H unceremoniously threw Bryan away from his Michaels  and, with Orton indisposed and The Game’s defenses down,
 Daniel Bryan saw his opening.

Granted, it wasn’t a WWE Title win, and given what happened afterward, it’s likely Bryan may end up regretting it.
But the second Triple H left himself exposed, the “Yes!” man hit The Game with another Running  Knee Smash with
such enthusiasm you’d have thought he had waited for it his whole life. “YES!” chants erupted from the WWE Universe ,
though the euphoria was sadly short-lived.

Perhaps it was seeing his best friend knocked out . Perhaps it was something The Game had said to Michaels before the match,
or maybe he just thought it was best for business. Whatever the reason, HBK staggered to his feet,
took stock of the situation and hit Bryan with Sweet Chin Music, toppling the would-be titleholder to the mat.

Michaels, for his part, didn’t seem to believe what he had just done, especially when Orton regained consciousness and
slithered into the cover. With no choice left , Shawn Michaels counted  three and left the arena in  disgusted silence as
The Game celebrated alongside Orton, crowed again as his chosen champion and the Face of WWE.

Why did Shawn Michaels  do it? The answer is likely not  simple. A previous issue with Bryan?
The need to side with his best friend, Triple H? Money? Sometimes it just takes the right combination of circumstances to
bring out the devil in us all. The only question that has been answered is who is the WWE Champion.
The answer is The Viper, Randy Orton.
